• As the escaped convict "Abel Magwitch," giving Pip what's coming to him after many years in Charles Dickens' Great Expectations (1934), starring Phillips Holmes, Jane Wyatt, Florence Reed, Rafaela Ottiano and Eily Malyon.
  
  
• As "Dr. Wilfred Glendon,", one of the great tragic figures in film, sacrificing everything for science in Werewolf of London (1935). With Valerie Hobson, Warner Oland, Lester Matthews, Lawrence Grant, Ethel Griffies and Zeffie Tilbury. Great makeup by Jack Pierce, great music by Karl Hajos.
  
  
• As "Dave Morris," Father Flanagan's Jewish friend who bankrolls Boys Town (1938). Starring Spencer Tracy in one of his Best Actor performances, and featuring Mickey Rooney, Frankie Thomas and Bobs Watson.
